Welcome! I’m Carrie, the one who loves to take curbside
treasures junk and turn it into something beautiful! (Hence the name Curb To Refurb)
I live in an amazingly beautiful tiny town in colorful Colorado. My husband and I bought a not so fabulous 1964 house about 7 years ago, and we have been slowly updating it ever since.
Meet my clan…
My oldest is the beautiful, tall and skinny supermodel (who won’t be allowed to date until she’s 25) but that’s oaky because she’s too busy reading books and working towards her goal of becoming an Olympic swimmer to worry about boys! She is extremely organized, super athletic and overall just an amazing little lady.
Next up is my silly, easy going, sweet girl. She is not only the cutest thing ever, but she is good at everything she does! (there’s no better way to annoy your big sister) She however did not get the organizing gene and sometimes I think she’s going to be a hoarder when she grows up.
Finally, my little man. Don’t be fooled by his adorable little face. This guy thinks he’s 15 and is very strong willed, but I know that it will be a trait I will love when he’s really 15! For now, I’m loving that he still wants to sit on my lap and read books and snuggle. I also am a little jealous of the way he can totally pull of wearing his swim trunks and cowboy boots to the grocery store.
Onto the reason I started this little blog… I have always loved crafting and DIY projects and I really just wanted to share my projects with others. I have this strange addiction to want to know what other peoples houses look like. I am constantly on pinterest looking for the latest “house tour” so maybe, just maybe someone might want to see what my house looks like. When I’m not homeschooling my children or making my 4th trip to the swimming pool for the day, you can usually find me in the backyard sanding an old nightstand, or spray painting something I dug out of the neighbors trash. (I know, classy) but I just can’t resist free wooden furniture.
So, that’s me in a nutshell! I’m glad you made it to the end. 🙂
